Trenching Straight
After many people rent trenchers they struggle with
trenching in straight lines. A simple method that has
been passed down through generations in my family is
the screwdriver trick. Take two screwdrivers or stakes
and insert them into the ground on opposite sides of
the trench you plan to dig. Take a string and tie it
between the two screwdrivers, keeping the line taught.
You can then trench along the string or use it as a guide
to spray paint lines onto the lawn.
