Pressure Switch Malfunction
If you find that your pump is producing a decent
amount of pressure while sprinkling and keeps turning
on and off, the pressure switch may be to blame.
While you're sprinkling, you the pump should run
continuously and should not turn on and off. This is
very hard on the motor and could eventually lead to
motor failure.
Since not all pressure switches are alike and there is
electricity involved talk to your pump dealer on how to
adjust it, and if you don't feel comfortable working
with electricity contact a professional.
Pressure switches are generally grey boxes that are
located near the water tank on your pump. Before
working with a pressure switch be sure to turn off the
breaker to the pump, and then touch the switch with
a plastic handled screwdriver to be sure the power is
off.
