Clogged Well Point
If your pump is fine and all of your zones are
functioning poorly, you may have a clogged well point
(this only applies if you don't have city water). After a
well point is in the ground for many years it may get
clogged with silt and mineral deposits. The same
minerals that built the formations below could be
clogging your well point.
I've often heard of many solutions for unplugging a
clogged well point, but I've only seen one that actually
works. Often times you can put down another length
of well pipe and the force of driving it down through
the ground will scrape off some of the debris clogging
the point and free the flow of water.
If this fails to solve the problem, you are often left
with no other solution but to put down a new well
point.
